Il existe 2 types d'essieu arrière monté sur le Land Rover:

1. L'essieu conventionnelle Rover, dont le différentiel est retiré comme une unité complète sur le devant de l'essieu.

2. L'essieu de Salisbury, qui a une plaque d'accès à l'arrière de l'essieu pour le retrait différentiel.

Essieux Rover ont deux types de différentiels, comme suit:

2 pignon (la norme de service) ou 4 pignon (heavy duty), se référant au nombre de pignons dans le différentiel lui-même.

Véhicules équipés avec 2 pignon diff ont 10 spline demi-arbres à NIV KA930455 (1993), et 24 demi-arbres de spline à partir de VIN LA930456 (1994) sur.

Véhicules à quatre pignons diff sont tous équipés de 24 demi-arbres de spline.
